How did my Sony α7S perform in a dimly lit restaurant?

In my last post I asked, “Is the Sony α7S the answer to my restaurant review photography dreams?” For that particular restaurant which was well lit I thought the Sony α7S performed particularly well. How about a really dimly lit restaurant? On Friday night we went to just such a place, a fantastic restaurant, one of my favourites, but really dimly lit.

So what do you think? Is the Sony α7S up to the task for restaurant review photography? I certainly need to practice a lot more. These images were pretty poor straight out of the camera. It took some effort in Adobe Lightroom to get them looking like this which for me is acceptable for a blog.
