Autumn on Lake Ginninderra

It’s my last day of my annual recreation leave. I returned from Hawaii yesterday via Sydney. This morning I went for a walk and enjoyed Autumn on Lake Ginninderra.

Autumn or Fall for my North American friends is a time of year so many people love. I can’t stand it. My skin begins to dry out and crack. It starts to get cold too. I do appreciate the colours though and the skies are so clear and blue. I like this time of year in the Top End. It’s the run off. The monsoon will be ending, the fresh water will be flowing out to sea. The barra are running hot and the fishing is good. Soon the dragonflies will be out and the Dry will start. The good thing about the Top End’s Dry season is that it’s still more humid than a Summer in Canberra. Life is always good in the Top End of Australia.

Do you like Autumn?
